Machetes can be useful in a variety of situations. In tropical countries for cutting through rainforest undergrowth, agriculture, for household tasks in place of a cleaver, as a tool to make wooden handles or as simple as opening a coconut.

Self Defence stocks a variety of economic machetes for uses such as these and also Ninja style Machetes. Both styles could be used as a domestic tool or as a weapon.
