Policy for Surveillance Equipment
We
at SelfDefenCe.com strive to offer our customers the best products at
the best possible prices. Due to the nature of the products, returns will
not be accepted unless the product is found to be defective or unless
otherwise explicitly stated on the specific SelfDefenCe.com product page.
All returns, refunds, or exchanges must obtain a return merchandise authorization number (RMA) by SelfDefenCe.com before any products are returned.
We have implemented this policy due to the misuse of our former liberal return policy. A few unscrupulous people have ordered our products for specific short term purposes and then returned the product in a condition that would not allow us to resell. We test all of our products before shipping. Your satisfaction is our number one concern. If you have any questions regarding our products, please contact Customer Service before placing an order.
RETURN POLICY: All our hidden cameras, surveillance equipment, and other hi-tech products are special order items and are NOT subject to cancellations. Due to the nature of our product line, returns will only be accepted for products damaged upon shipment to the customer*. All returns must be authorized by SelfDefenCe.com before product(s) is returned. All products must be returned in the original packaging. SelfDefenCe.com will replace, refund, or credit your account for returned product(s) at SelfDefenCe.com's discretion.
*Special exceptions may be made on a case by case basis as determined by SelfDefenCe.com. In this event, returns are subject to deductions for shipping costs and a 25% restocking charge and must be returned within a five (5) day period from date of receipt of product(s). No refunds will be given on shipping/handling charges or for products returned without explicit permission from SelfDefenCe.com. Return authorization and shipping instructions must be obtained from SelfDefenCe.com. No returns will be authorized after five (5) business days of receipt of product(s) by the customer.
Return
Policy for General Merchandise
Our return policy is simple. If an item arrives
that is not what you expected, you can return it within 30 days. This
does not apply to Lock Picks or related items, spy cameras, digital or
analog recorders, Night Vision or Books & Videos. . There are
no returns on the above mentioned items.
There will be a 20% restocking
fee on some returned merchandise, otherwise a $1.00 fee will be deducted
for processing.
(The refund will not include shipping charges). To return an item, e-mail
to Email Us and request
a Return Authorization (RMA) number for return. You will be responsible
for shipping back the unwanted item. The item must be returned in the
condition it was received and in its original packaging. This will insure
prompt credit to your account.
For your protection, we highly recommend shipping your return via UPS Ground or Federal Express since these services are easily traceable. If you use US Priority Mail, be sure to insure the package and request a Delivery Confirmation receipt.
Inside the box, include a copy of your invoice or a separate sheet of paper detailing all of the following information:
- Buyers name and address as it appears on the invoice
- Daytime phone number including area code
- Valid email address
- Brief reason for the return
- State whether you want a refund or exchange
If an item is damaged or shipped to you in error you can Email us or call us at 1-888-313-6400 to receive a Return Authorization (RMA) number for return. Once processed you will be sent a replacement product or given a refund for the wrong product.

We under no circumstances will sell to minors, or to anyone we feel may use our products for illegal purposes. We reserve the right to decline any order.
